Wool Workshop in Charlottesville

Elsa sent out this information on a workshop in Charlottesville:


Subject: Wool Workshop in Charlottesville to Benefit VQM
Come and learn all about wool appliqué from Del  Horan!

Date: April 20, 2013
Time: 10 am to 3 pm
Place: Olivet Presbyterian Church 2575 Garth Road

You will need to bring a small black pocketbook - hard sided is best. Second hand stores and consignments shops are a good source for inexpensive purses. A small or medium sized wooden box could also be used. These are available at Michael's or JoAnn's. You will cover your item with wool and learn to appliqué a design of your choice appropriate for the size of your project.

Del will provide black wool to cover your purse or box and a variety of pieces of colored wool for your appliqué. Threads such as embroidery floss, crewel yarns and perle cotton will also be provided.   Needles and other notions will be part of the kit.  There will be a $10.00 fee to cover the cost of supplies.
 
No sewing machine required.
 
Supply List - thimble, glue stick, stapler, small sharp scissors, sharpie, pencil,   and applique patterns of your choice.

Workshop is limited to 20 people.
