Sewing Friday

We had a great turnout for Sewing Friday today. It was one of the largest groups in a while. Becky, Karen and Estelle spent most of the morning clearing out the storage cupboards and we "adopted" the 2 abandoned sewing machines. Both of them work! We now have more space and even the Ruritans have been reorganized and cleaned out. Everyone is happy.

Then everyone got down to sewing.

Betsy is working on a beautiful black, red and white quilt. She reported that she has finished assembling the yo-yo UFO quilt that she took home from the Tuesday meeting!

Becky is working on putting together all of the 9-patch and snowball blocks that members brought to the Tuesday meeting.

Here's the quilt in process. Once finished it will be donated to Quilt Bingo.

Carolyn was working on her May framed 9-patch blocks.

Estelle is quilting a veteran's quilt.

Julie is working on a new quilt.

Karen is working on a veteran's quilt using 30's repro fabrics.

Kitty is making 600 half-square triangle blocks for a queen sized quilt.

Nancy spent the day cutting out 2 new quilt kits.

Vicki brought her friend, Laura (from England) and made her sort through fabric for the next veteran's quilt.

This is the veteran's quilt top that Vicki finished today. She's started a Quilt of Valor using the same fabrics.

More fun tomorrow!
