I need Veterans quilt tops!

I hope everyone is enjoying our first snow day of 2021! I'm having a bit of a crisis here because this is the last veterans quilt that I have here to quilt. 

That's right. I'm out of quilt tops!

This situation hasn't happened in MONTHS. It doesn't look like we will be meeting in February either so if any of you have quilt tops that you want to drop off at my house  (Vicki is near the Hollows), please let me know. I'll also be at Sewing on the 12th and 13th if you want to drop off there.

A snow day is a perfect day to make a veterans quilt top. 😉 I've got plenty of backing and binding just waiting to be quilted up.

New Hanover County program

Hanover County has a new program called Knits 'N Knots, which meets once a month. June suggested that some of our members might be interested. The first meeting was this morning (sorry for the late notice!) but here is additional information in case you are interested for February and beyond:

 

Knits 'N Knots

 

Knit it, sew it, needle it, crochet it, stitch it, pin it, prick it, finish it! You can do it! Bring your own project and join the group as we socialize and share what “it” is. We’ll create a special bond while getting our fingers moving! Great way to relax and improve your memory. Bring materials to work on your project. Some finished projects may be collected and donated to local charities, hospitals and other service groups.

Program #2344 – Thursday, February 18 – 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

 

Preregistration required. Free to attend.

Time to send in your dues, plus sewing days reminder

I was so sad to miss seeing all of you for our regular monthly meeting.  Hopefully we will be able to have larger gatherings soon.

In a normal year we would start collecting dues in January.  Since we didn't meet in person this month, we will be collecting dues by mail.  Here is the form, which I hope you can copy and print:

Sewing Days 

Registration is open for our Sewing Days for February and March. Please remember that Hanover County has changed their restrictions and we are now limited to 9 for each day. If you plan to attend, you need to register through Hanover County; Register online at Sewing Days. Given the limited numbers and the size of our group, if you want to come both days I suggest you start by signing up for one day, then if there is still space when it gets closer, you can sign up for the second day. Let's give as many people as possible the opportunity to attend.  February dates are the 12th and 13th; March dates are also the 12th and 13th.
