At our meeting Sept.14th, Peg Shealy told us about an opportunity for CSQ to exhibited quilt related items at the new Hanover Museum at Hanover, VA. from mid-October to mid-December.
Elsa Brooks, Karen Hayes and myself volunteered to meet with Executive Director, Jamie Fawcett. We were extremely pleased with this opportunity and the facility. Museum has insurance and protective film will be over windows.
We need your help. We are asking members to be thinking about what they are willing to loan for the exhibit dates October 14th thru December 12th. Jamie will be accepting items at "Friday Sewing Day" on October 8th from 9am to 4pm. Members will receive a receipt for each item.
If this date is not convenient for you, arrangements can be made for an earlier date.
The museum is offering a "Soft Open Exhibit" 2 hour preview for CSQ members on October 14th. Exhibit opens to public on October 15th.
All items will be returned at CSQ meeting on December14th.
Elsa and I are meeting with Jaime again this week. I will send out more details soon.
