The History of Samplers

 

This Saturday only, March 2, 2024, Scotchtown Museum is hosting an interesting program for anyone who enjoys needlework and textiles.

 

Join Scotchtown staff at 11am or 2pm as they present the history of samplers, their function and design over the last few centuries. As part of this program, we will have hands-on demonstrations of the basic steps of cross stitch and an assortment of kits for you to purchase from our gift shop!

Quilting Friends Luncheon Feb 23.

Today's Quilting Friends Luncheon at Kitchen 33 was a good time! We had an amazing quilt show followed by yummy food! Betsy never ceases to amaze us with her quilting - most of these will be quilts for veterans, a couple baby quilts, etc., Kathy A.K.A. Elvis, has finished her coffee quilt for a veteran - last picture. Anyway, enjoy the quilt show and watch for information about next month's luncheon.

Quilting Friends Luncheon Time Change

The luncheon time for Friday has been changed to 12:00 noon due to a reservation conflict with Kitchen 33. See you there!

Quilting Friends Lunch in February, and ideas for March

Quilting Friends are meeting for lunch at Kitchen 33 at 1:00 on Friday, February 23. Bring any projects to share and show. If you can come please let Brenda know by text or voicemail by Wednesday, February 21, so reservations can be made.  

 

Additionally, Sharon has proposed that for March we take a trip to Millstone Quilt Shop (reproduction fabric and grunge) and have lunch somewhere in that area. So keep this idea in mind!
